Hey there

So my ‘carreer’ on wordpress.com didnt’t last for too long as I’ve decided to move to the dark side, ha. But hey, my blog here lasted for over 24h! That’s not too bad, haha.

You can read new posts on http://kate-thistleandweeds.blogspot.com/ from now on, would be lovely if you stopped by and said ‘hi’ ♥

Last weekend, the sun had finally shown her beautiful face in Berlin. I loved how all the flowery colourful dresses brightened up the cityscape of Berlin. Not that Berlin needs much brightening but it’s amazing what difference a little sunshine can make…

Here you can see how I did my my part to contribute to a bit more colour in the city

We all have been eager for weeks to find out the line up for this year’s Reading Festival and even though rumours have been going on for quite a while now I’m sure no one actually thought – not even in our most secret dirty dreams – that there would be just the slightest chance that the Libertines will be ACTUALLY playing Reading and Leeds. Well, we have all been proved wrong because the Libertines are back!

The band confirmed that they will be playing their first full gigs as a band since the 2004 split. They will be playing in Leeds on the Friday (August 27) of the festival, before headliner Arcade Fire and will then perform at Reading on the Saturday (August 28).

While I’m still mourning over the fact that I cannot afford the £180 for the weekend ticket plus flight and bus transfer I’m sure others are already rubbing their hands with excitement for another reason… I’m actually really curious to know how much money ‘fans’ will cash in with their ticket sale on Ebay…

Last week we already had the pleasure to finally get our hands on a new copy of a VICE Fashion Issue. This week we will be treated once more as the Magazine will officially launch their Vice Style Fashion Website today.

You may think ‘Oh no, please not another Fashion Magazine’ and quite rightly so you’ll probably yawn and roll your eyes. VICE is known for its unconventional journalism, though, and I must say that their Fashion website didn’t disappoint me in any way. After having spent the last two hours browsing their website I have to say that I didn’t think at any point ‘Boring. Already seen it.’ which doesn’t happen too often to be honest.

One of the things I enjoyed most was definitely the interview with Karl Lagerfeld. Their questions and Lagerfeld’s answers are in contrast to other rather conservative interviews really refreshing. Go and have a look for yourself here.
